Get away from it all with your Family or Group on the Dzibanche and Kinichna Mayan Ruins excursion in Costa Maya!
Located in the Savannah of the Quintana Roo lower region Dzibanche and Kinichna are two jewels awaiting our discovery.
These less visited Maya Temples offer spectacular structures and perhaps some of the most beautiful masonry work in the region.
The impressive Temples are enveloped in tropical forest and will enable your group to have a Maya City all to yourselves!
We are not the only explorers to visit the Dzibanche and Kinichna sites, but on every single visit, our excursion organizers are the only people visiting the site 95% of the time.
Boasting four of the most beautifully reconstructed pyramids of the region, the Dzibanche and Kinichna are an extensive 40sq kilometer City build during the Classic Period (400-800 A.D.)
The City, built as homes as well as an area for worshipping their Gods contains a large number of Plazas ringed by large Palaces and platforms and ceremonial centers. If you have visited Mayan Cities in the past you will not help but notice the sheer beauty of the temples, perhaps the most beautiful to be found in any surrounding City.
Because the site is very extensive and not fully reconstructed it is split into two areas approximately 10 minutes (drive) apart.
First Dzibanche is visited, followed by the giant Temple of Kinichna.
Kinichna, even though only one Temple is massive and worth every minute of its visit.
There will be a day when these two locations will be reunited by INAH, but in the meantime, they are linked together by our air-conditioned vans.
